Before I Go

Have you ever thought or asked the question: “What would a good death be for me?”

In Forres to celebrate Good Death Week, a number of experts are joining forces to bring the discussion of death to life.

The event will be hosted by Jane Duncan Rogers, who will tell her heart-breaking and uplifting story of how she founded the social enterprise Before I Go Solutions following her husband’s tragic death.

Jane will be joined by a Marie Curie nurse who will share their experiences of looking after a terminally ill patient and supporting the whole family and why their support through that final journey is of the utmost importance.

Meanwhile Kate Clark from charity Pushing Up The Daisies will talk about how people have the choice to care for their deceased loved one’s body at home.

Finally, Forres funeral director Callum Ross will reveal all about why talking about death as a family can enhance the funeral experience and how inheriting the family business at just 21 years old shaped his views on death.

With an interactive quiz, funny and thought-provoking tales, and free refreshments, these three experts really will bring the subject of death to life and will be sure to leave you inspired and informed.
