Specialist Palliative Care Services in Dundee are delighted to announce their sixth national conference.
The aim of this notable event is to bring together the expertise and insight of Dr Jonathan Koffman, Peter Kennedy, Allison O'Donnell, Liz Smith and Dr Bridget Taylor to raise awareness of, and explore issues and challenges in caring for disadvantaged people with palliative care needs. Annual conference for National Forum of Gynaecological Oncology Nurses are having a two day conference in Glasgow in June 2014. Following the publication of Scotland's second national Dementia Strategy in the summer, this conference will provide an opportunity to consider strategies for its implementation. Speakers will discuss how best to respond to the dementia challenge, covering topics such as improving diagnosis rates, innovations in care and support, and raising standards. Presentations from public officials and health and social care leaders will be put into context by talks from people living with dementia and their carers.
