To Absent Friends community supper

Come along to the first ever community To Absent Friends Supper in Edinburgh.

An opportunity to talk together over food, sharing stories and memories of people who have died, the evening will be interspersed with entertainment from local artists, reflecting on loss through music, poetry and storytelling.

Supper and stories

The To Absent Friends Supper is a modern take on a timeless concept - getting together over food to remember people who have died.

Invite some people you'd like to spend the evening with, book a table, and raise a toast to Absent Friends. Your table will be your own space to remember people who have died who are important to you - with friends, family or work colleagues.

Chat away informally, or structure your evening around your own pre-prepared contributions of poetry, stories, songs, or photographs. Dedicate your meal to one person, or to the memory of many. Be as light-hearted or as sombre as you want

A simple three course meal will be provided by the Cyrenians Community Cook Club.
