Are you a nurse or allied health professional?
Would time overseas meeting others in your sector and sharing ideas and good practice benefit your work? Would you be prepared to share your findings for the improvement of your sector, and the UK as a whole, on your return?
If the answer is yes, and you would like to visit innovative programmes abroad so that you could transfer or adapt them to the UK, a Churchill Fellowship could be for you.
We are particularly interested in applications focused on putting patients first and making the best use of available resources. We also welcome projects on the role and contribution of Nurses and AHPs in the delivery and leadership of an effective healthcare system in the UK. If you are not a Nurse or AHP, or the remit of your project is wider, you might be interested in our Health & Wellbeing category.
This is a joint project with the Burdett Trust for Nursing, the Royal College of Nursing and FoNS Centre for Nursing Innovation.

A Fellowship allows you to go overseas and look at good practice and innovative programmes so that you can return to the UK and share the new ideas for the improvement of your sector or trade.
Additional funding for interpreters is available as part of this category.

What is a Travelling Fellowship?
The Trust awards travel grants to men and women who will be able to undertake research overseas and on their return to the UK disseminate their new knowledge and examples of good practice.
Applicants must demonstrate that their project will have a wider benefit within their community or field, in addition to their own personal development.
