National practice statements for general palliative care in adult care homes in Scotland.

These practice statements were developed by a working group of the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care and are designed to be read and used alongside the Scottish Executive National Care Standards for Adult Services. They are written specifically for the service user, and describe what those living in care homes can expect from their service provider. They are recognised by the Care Commission as best practice and will be used in Care Commission inspections of the quality of palliative care delivered in adult care homes in Scotland.
