These guidelines are designed to reflect a consensus of opinion about good practice in the management of adult patients with a life limiting illness. There is a separate section covering paediatric palliative care.  The Lothian Palliative Care Guidelines Committee holds copyright for these materials but are happy for them to be used by other professionals.
