Abstract

This document introduces the Clinical Standards Board for Scotland (CSBS) Clinical Standards for Specialist Palliative Care which were developed in partnership with the Scottish Partnership for Palliative Care. (CSBS has since become NHS Quality Improvement Scotland.) http://www.nhshealthquality.org/nhsqis/files/SPC.pdf

These standards state that all hospices and specialist palliative care units in Scotland should ensure a system is in place to collect the data specified in the Scottish Minimum Data Set for Specialist Palliative Care.
