Palliative Cancer Care Guidelines Produced in conjunction with the Clinical Resource and Audit Group (CRAG) of the Scottish Office Department of Health These guidelines on Palliative Cancer Care are concerned with the quality of care which should accompany the treatment of disease, and beyond. They should make a valuable contribution to the processes of purchasing and providing palliative cancer care with the goal of reducing the suffering of both patients and their families. They will also encourage and inform the proper audit and evaluation of the services provided. Relief of Pain and Related Symptoms: The Role of Drug Therapy This publication has now been withdrawn from further circulation. The content had become out of date, and the need for a national booklet has been superceded by the development of local palliative care guidelines in individual NHS Board areas.
