Dying Matters Awareness Week

The Dying Matters Coalition in England are organising an awareness week as part of their ongoing work to change public knowledge, attitudes and behaviours towards death, dying and bereavement.  The coalition’s new website has just gone live at http://www.dyingmatters.org.uk/

Living and Dying Well

Living and Dying Well short life working groups have produced consultation documents on:

·         Guideline and referral criteria

·         Assessment tools and advanced/anticipatory care planning

·         Attitudes to death and dying

 

The groups are keen to receive feedback, and the closing date for comments is Friday 22nd January 2010.

 

A draft national policy on Do Not Attempt Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (DNACPR) has also been released for consultation.  The closing date for comments is Friday 26th February 2010.
