Updated April 2021
The Community Pharmacy Palliative Care Network leaflet can only be downloaded on an NHSGGC Network Connection.
If you do not have access to a network connected device you can request a copy at the Contact web page or through the Pharmacists below.
Courier service
In some circumstances, it may be necessary to transport urgently required prescriptions and/or medication to meet the needs of a palliative care patient. In primary care we have established a board-approved courier service which can be accessed 24 hours a day/7 days a week if needed.
In normal working hours, the service can be accessed by contacting one of the specialist palliative care pharmacists (contacts below), community pharmacy palliative care network pharmacies or the district nursing service. Out of hours, the district nursing and GP out-of-hours service can access the service.
